Türkiye's 2027 budget submitted to Parliament

The 2027 Central Government Budget Bill, signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has been submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM).

Under the proposal, central government expenditures are projected to reach TRY 27.276 trillion next year, while revenues are estimated at TRY 23.408 trillion. This would result in an expected budget deficit of approximately TRY 3.868 trillion for 2027, with TRY 3.975 trillion allocated to interest payments.

The budget proposal will be reviewed by the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee. Discussions are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 21, with a presentation by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz. The committee review process is expected to last approximately one month, after which the proposal will be submitted to the TBMM General Assembly. Maintaining fiscal discipline, combating inflation, and strengthening economic stability are among the key objectives of the new budget.
