All eyes on key U.S. manufacturing data
The U.S. ISM Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for October is scheduled for release on Monday, November 2, 2026.
The index, which stood at 54.5 in September, is expected to rise to 54.7 in October. A reading above 50 would indicate continued expansion in U.S. manufacturing activity. The data is scheduled to be published at 6:00 p.m. Türkiye time.
Following the Federal Reserve's (Fed) October interest rate decision, the manufacturing report is being closely watched for insights into economic growth and the inflation outlook. In particular, the new orders, production, employment, and prices paid subindices will provide important signals about demand conditions and cost pressures in the industrial sector. A stronger-than-expected reading could influence market expectations for Fed monetary policy, while weaker results could heighten concerns about the pace of economic growth.
