All eyes on key U.S. jobs report

The U.S. nonfarm payrolls report for October is scheduled to be released on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Türkiye time.

Economists expect nonfarm payrolls to increase by 65,000, while the unemployment rate is projected to remain unchanged at 4.2%. Following a gain of 29,000 jobs in September, employment growth is expected to recover in October. Labor market developments are being closely monitored for their implications for the U.S. economic growth outlook.

Average hourly earnings and the labor force participation rate will also be key components of the report for financial markets. Slower wage growth could reinforce expectations of easing inflationary pressures, while stronger employment figures could strengthen forecasts that the Federal Reserve will continue raising interest rates. The data release is expected to trigger volatility in the U.S. Dollar Index, Treasury yields, gold prices, and global equity markets.
