All eyes on U.S. consumer confidence data

The Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index, which reflects Americans' expectations for the economic outlook, is scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

After registering 81.9 in September, the index is expected to decline to approximately 80.5 in October, according to market forecasts. The report, scheduled for publication at 5:00 p.m. Türkiye time, will provide insights into households' assessments of current economic conditions and future income expectations.

Consumer confidence is closely monitored as an indicator of household spending, a major driver of the U.S. economy. The impact of elevated interest rates, energy prices, and labor market uncertainties on consumer behavior remains particularly important. A weaker-than-expected reading could heighten concerns about economic growth, while a stronger result may signal resilience in consumer spending. The actual October reading has not yet been released.
