US investors turn their attention to Türkiye
Kınık emphasized that bilateral trade between Türkiye and the United States has yet to reach $40 billion but expressed confidence that the $100 billion trade target is achievable. According to figures he shared, direct investment from Türkiye to the United States reached $15 billion in 2025, while US investment in Türkiye totaled $16.5 billion. Kınık expects bilateral investments to increase further this year and said efforts are underway to develop a joint operating model aimed at reducing Turkish companies' costs in the US market by up to 10%.
Mustafa Kınık, Secretary General of the American Turkish Trade and Investment Council (ATIC), said US investor interest in Türkiye is growing, with major cooperation opportunities being explored, particularly in the construction sector.
Kınık noted strong demand from the United States and attractive opportunities in mergers and acquisitions. He also revealed that a major US-based postal company is seeking investors from Türkiye, while new data center investments could emerge in the technology sector.
