Germany manufacturing PMI rises as services slow
Germany's flash manufacturing PMI rose to 54.2, exceeding market expectations of 53.5 and the previous reading of 53.9.
Despite stronger manufacturing activity, the services PMI declined to 51.7, below the 52.5 forecast and the previous 52.9 reading. Both indicators remained above the 50-point threshold, signaling continued expansion.
The flash composite PMI came in at 52.8, missing market expectations of 53.4 and declining from the previous 53.8 reading.
The figures suggest that stronger manufacturing activity was accompanied by slower services growth, limiting overall economic momentum. This divergence could influence expectations for European Central Bank (ECB) monetary policy and the Eurozone's growth outlook.
