Gold prices rebound after sharp sell-off

Gold prices started Monday, October 26, 2026, on a positive note following last week's sharp sell-off.

As of 10:00 a.m. local time, gram gold was selling for TL 6,410.32 in Türkiye's open market, while spot gold was trading around $4,010 per ounce during the morning session. Gold's recovery above the $4,000 threshold following the previous week's decline signaled strengthening recovery momentum in the precious metals market.

Ahead of the Federal Reserve's (Fed) October 27–28 policy meeting, movements in the US dollar and Treasury yields remain key factors influencing the direction of gold prices. Investors are also closely monitoring geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the potential inflationary impact of elevated oil prices. The Fed's interest rate decision and subsequent policy guidance could increase volatility in the gold market.
