Gold forecast to reach $5,000
Gold prices have experienced a sharp decline in global markets amid expectations of higher interest rates and a stronger U.S. dollar, while long-term bullish forecasts from major financial institutions remain in focus.
Following gold's drop below $4,000 per ounce, a price target of $5,000 suggests potential upside of approximately 25% from current levels. However, this forecast does not guarantee that gold will reach the projected level.
The Gold & Silver Club (GSC) forecasts that gold could rise to between $4,900 and $5,000 per ounce in the first quarter of 2027. After reaching an all-time high of $5,595 in January, gold has fallen by more than 28% to around $3,900. The organization cited $31 billion in inflows into gold-backed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) during the third quarter and continued central bank purchases as factors that could support a potential recovery. However, a strong U.S. dollar and elevated interest rates could delay any upward momentum, while the $3,886 level has emerged as a key support area.
