BofA clients make TL 3.5 billion in net stock purchases
Despite continued selling pressure on Borsa Istanbul on Friday, October 23, 2026, substantial net purchases executed through Bank of America (BofA) attracted attention.
According to Matriks data, BofA clients ended the session with approximately TL 3.58 billion in net purchases. Yapı Kredi Bank (YKBNK) recorded the highest net buying at TL 1.16 billion, followed by Akbank (AKBNK) with TL 720 million, Turkish Airlines (THYAO) with TL 409 million, and Türkiye İş Bankası (ISCTR) with TL 370 million. Meanwhile, the BIST 100 index closed the session down 0.92% at 11,116.99 points.
Purchases executed through BofA were particularly concentrated in banking stocks, while Türk Altın İşletmeleri, Koç Holding, and Astor Enerji were also among the companies recording net buying. On the same day, QNB led brokerage-level net selling with approximately TL 1.24 billion, while Yapı Kredi and Garanti also stood out on the selling side. Transactions executed through BofA do not, on their own, indicate investments made from the bank's proprietary portfolio or direct foreign capital inflows.
