Banking stocks lead BofA's weekly purchases

Banking stocks attracted significant buying interest in Bank of America's (BofA) trading activity on Borsa Istanbul during the week of October 12–16. Türkiye İş Bankası (ISCTR) recorded the largest net purchases by the institution, totaling TRY 604.7 million.

It was followed by Sabancı Holding (SAHOL) with TRY 516.5 million and Yapı Kredi (YKBNK) with TRY 515.6 million. Banking and holding stocks therefore dominated BofA's weekly buying activity.

On the selling side, BİM Birleşik Mağazalar (BIMAS) ranked first, with approximately TRY 1.4 billion in net sales. Alongside the retail sector, defense, energy, and transportation companies also featured prominently in the institution's selling activity. During a week when the BIST 100 index declined by 4.44%, BofA's stock-specific transactions revealed diverging trends between banking shares and other sectors.
