Broadcom CEO sees capital as AI's biggest constraint

Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said at a panel in Singapore on October 12, 2026, that capital availability, rather than chip or memory shortages, could become the biggest constraint on artificial intelligence growth.

He said the company was overcoming wafer capacity and memory supply challenges.

Tan also highlighted the ability of AI developers such as OpenAI and Anthropic to generate substantial revenue from recently deployed models. His remarks put the financing of AI infrastructure expansion in focus.

However, no direct impact on Broadcom shares or Nasdaq has been verified.
