Citi forecasts inflation and interest rates for Türkiye

The institution noted that the inflation outlook remains challenging despite weakening growth expectations.

Citi economists said the disinflationary impact of slowing demand could remain limited, while supply-side pressures are likely to remain significant. The bank expects the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) to cut its policy rate by 100 basis points in October, while maintaining its year-end policy rate forecast at 35%.
