Deutsche Bank signals buying opportunity in gold
Deutsche Bank said gold has returned to attractive buying levels following the recent sell-off.
Daniel Ghali, the bank’s Head of Precious Metals Research, said gold is oversold and investor positioning has fallen to very low levels, while maintaining a positive outlook for the precious metal in 2027.
Ghali highlighted that gold has not fallen below its July low despite the US 10-year Treasury yield remaining above 5% and oil prices trading above $100. Continued strong gold purchases by central banks and official institutions were also cited as a key factor supporting prices.
