Türkiye’s trade deficit falls sharply

Türkiye’s exports increased by 15.4% year-on-year in September to $25.98 billion, while imports rose 5.9% to $31.21 billion.

As a result, the foreign trade deficit fell by 24.8% from a year earlier to approximately $5.2 billion.

Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said Türkiye recorded the highest September export figure in the history of the Republic. The export-to-import coverage ratio increased to 83.2%, while exports in the January-September period rose 5.2% to approximately $211 billion.
