ENAG: Annual inflation reaches 45.12%

According to calculations by the independent group of academics and economists, the ENAG Consumer Price Index (E-CPI) rose 2.68% in October, while annual inflation stood at 45.12%. The figures indicate an acceleration in monthly price increases alongside a decline in annual inflation.

In September, ENAG reported monthly inflation of 2.10% and annual inflation of 46.61%. With the October figures, the monthly inflation rate increased by 0.58 percentage points, while annual inflation declined by 1.49 percentage points. Meanwhile, official data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) showed monthly inflation of 2.58% and annual inflation of 29.77% in October. As a result, the gap between ENAG's and TÜİK's annual inflation estimates reached 15.35 percentage points.
