Markets await new data on underlying inflation

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) is scheduled to release seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI) indicators for October on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

According to data published by TÜİK on November 3, consumer inflation stood at 2.58% month over month and 29.77% year over year in October. Monthly inflation exceeding market expectations has brought greater attention to assessments of underlying price pressures.

Seasonally adjusted data provide a clearer picture of underlying inflation trends by reducing the impact of recurring seasonal price fluctuations. Movements in services, core goods, and food prices are particularly important for the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye's (CBRT) assessment of the disinflation process. The new indicators will be closely monitored for their implications for monetary policy and expectations regarding future interest rate decisions.
