Eurozone PMI figures decline
The Eurozone's flash manufacturing PMI came in at 52.4, below market expectations of 52.8 and the previous reading of 52.9.
The services PMI also declined to 51.7, missing the 52.5 forecast and falling from the previous 53.0 reading. Although both sectors remained above the 50-point expansion threshold, the data indicated slower growth in business activity.
The flash composite PMI fell to 51.9, below expectations of 52.7 and the previous reading of 53.1. Simultaneous weakness in manufacturing and services momentum could raise concerns about the Eurozone's economic growth outlook.
The figures may also influence expectations for European Central Bank (ECB) interest-rate policy and the euro.
