Kaya couple makes voluntary payment
As part of an investigation into transactions in the capital markets, Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and her husband İlyas Kaya applied under the voluntary payment mechanism announced by Türkiye’s Capital Markets Board (SPK).
The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office sent letters to seven banks requesting that the amounts held in the accounts specified in the couple’s petitions be transferred to Birleşik Fon Bankası. According to DHA, the Kaya couple voluntarily transferred the portion of their investments exceeding the principal amount to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund’s (TMSF) voluntary repayment account.
