85 people arrested in fund investigation

Gürlek said the assets of many individuals have been frozen and measures have been taken to prevent the transfer or concealment of assets.

Gürlek said five people have so far voluntarily returned their illicit gains to an account established under the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF). He stressed that returning the funds does not mean the investigation has ended, adding that legal proceedings have also been initiated to bring money transferred abroad back to Türkiye.
