South Korea manufacturing PMI declines

South Korea's S&P Global manufacturing PMI fell to 51.3 in October, down from 53.9 in September. The 2.6-point decline indicated a notable slowdown in the pace of manufacturing sector expansion.

Despite the decline, the index remained above the 50-point threshold, signaling that manufacturing activity continued to expand. However, weaker growth momentum could raise concerns about South Korea's industrial production and export outlook. The figures may also influence expectations for Asian economic growth and the Bank of Korea's monetary policy.
