IPO index suffers losses of up to 65%

The performance of newly listed companies on Borsa Istanbul remains a key concern for investors.

Losses of up to 65% in the IPO index have renewed attention on the risks faced by investors who entered the market in recent periods. Sharp sell-offs in certain stocks following their initial public offerings have weakened investor confidence and increased market volatility.

Market assessments also highlight the BIST 100 index approaching the 11,000-point level as a significant risk factor. Analysts emphasize the need to closely monitor price movements in IPO stocks, market liquidity, investor interest, and broader selling pressure. If the index continues to show weakness, risk appetite among retail investors could decline further.
