Dutch economy grows faster than expected
The Dutch economy expanded 0.6% quarter over quarter, according to seasonally adjusted preliminary data, exceeding market expectations of 0.3%.
Growth remained unchanged from the previous quarter's 0.6% reading, indicating continued economic expansion at a steady pace.
On a non-seasonally adjusted basis, annual GDP growth accelerated to 2.1%, surpassing market expectations of 1.3% and the previous 1.6% reading. Stronger-than-expected growth highlighted the resilience of the Dutch economy and could support the broader Eurozone growth outlook. The figures may also influence European Central Bank (ECB) monetary policy expectations.
