UK PMI data falls below expectations
The United Kingdom's final services PMI came in at 52.8, below market expectations of 53.1.
The index declined by 0.3 points from its previous reading of 53.1, indicating slower growth momentum in the services sector.
Meanwhile, the final composite PMI fell to 52.9, missing both the 53.1 forecast and the previous reading of 53.1. Both indicators remained above the 50-point threshold, signaling continued expansion in economic activity. However, the downward revisions could influence Bank of England (BoE) interest-rate expectations.
