Iran warns Europe over the economic cost of war
Iranian authorities have issued strong warnings to European countries about the economic consequences of the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.
Tehran emphasized that the war is affecting not only the Middle East but also European economies through rising energy prices and disruptions to global trade. In particular, higher oil and natural gas prices could intensify inflationary pressures across Europe and negatively affect economic growth.
Iran's remarks come amid persistent security risks around the Strait of Hormuz and continued uncertainty over energy supplies. If the regional conflict continues, energy costs, transportation expenses, and insurance premiums are expected to remain elevated. These developments could increase production costs across Europe, create additional upward pressure on consumer prices, and complicate monetary policy decisions for central banks.
