Swiss producer price decline slows on annual basis

Switzerland's Producer Price Index (PPI) fell 0.2% year over year, compared with a 0.7% decline in the previous period.

The smaller annual decrease indicates that downward pressure on producer prices has eased.

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.3%, slowing from the previous 0.7% increase. The figures suggest that producer prices continue to decline annually, while monthly price growth has moderated.

This trend could influence the Swiss National Bank's (SNB) assessment of inflation and monetary policy.
