Japan announces cybersecurity package

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi announced an emergency cybersecurity package worth 10 billion yen ($63.2 million) in response to rising cyberattacks and data breaches across the country.

The measures aim to strengthen cyber defenses and protect critical digital infrastructure.

The use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity operations could help identify threats more quickly and improve early responses to potential attacks. The package could support Japan's digital security investments while creating new opportunities for technology companies operating in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
