J.P. Morgan to end brokerage operations in Türkiye

J.P. Morgan Menkul Değerler A.Ş. plans to apply to the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB) to revoke its operating license as part of its decision to terminate brokerage activities in Türkiye.

According to the CMB's announcement, if the application is approved, the company will cease capital market operations by either winding down its activities or changing its scope of business, thereby losing its status as a brokerage firm.

The CMB stated that customers with outstanding rights or claims related to the company's investment services and ancillary activities must submit their applications to both the company and the regulator within three months of the announcement date. Those who have filed lawsuits must provide relevant court documents, while customers who have initiated enforcement proceedings must submit the corresponding documentation. Investors disputing their account balances are also required to submit formal objections. The revocation of the operating license will become final once the CMB approves the application.
