Home sales continue to decline in Türkiye
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), a total of 142,390 residential properties were sold across Türkiye in September.
Sales declined by approximately 9.3% compared with the same month last year, extending their year-on-year downward trend. New home sales increased by 3.9% to 51,519 units, while existing home sales fell 15.3% to 90,871 units.
In September, new homes accounted for 36.2% of total residential property sales, while existing homes represented 63.8%. Despite the increase in new home sales, the significant contraction in the existing housing market contributed to the overall annual decline. The figures highlight diverging demand trends between newly built and existing residential properties in Türkiye's housing market.
