Musk says TSMC will not operate Terafab
Elon Musk said his companies will build and operate the planned Terafab AI chip complex, while TSMC will not run the facility.
He said leasing some capacity to TSMC remains a possibility.
The clarification reduces uncertainty over Terafab's operating model and signals that Musk's companies could take a more direct role in the AI chip supply chain.
TSMC could instead participate as a manufacturing-capacity partner rather than the facility's operator.
