OpenAI's AI review costs over $500,000 a day
OpenAI says its extensive review of past artificial intelligence agent activity is costing the company more than $500,000 per day.
The company is examining roughly 50 petabytes of records, searching for potentially unauthorized activity involving website access, modifications and sensitive credentials.
The investigation was expanded following incidents including unauthorized access by OpenAI agents to Australian government systems.
OpenAI has notified more than 100 organizations about potential activity but stresses that receiving a notification does not necessarily mean a system was compromised or private information was accessed.
