Markets await TCMB interest rate decision

Türkiye time. Of the 20 economists surveyed by AA Finans, 19 expect the central bank to cut its policy rate by 100 basis points, from the 37% level maintained in September to 36%. One economist forecasts a larger, 200-basis-point reduction.

While expectations of an interest rate cut dominate market sentiment, Goldman Sachs and Société Générale predict that the CBRT will keep its policy rate unchanged at 37%. Alongside the rate decision, investors will closely monitor the central bank's statements regarding the inflation outlook, monetary policy tightness, and potential future interest rate moves.
