Türkiye's real sector confidence falls below 100
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) released its real sector confidence index and manufacturing capacity utilization data for October 2026.
The unadjusted real sector confidence index declined by 2.2 points from the previous month, falling from 102 to 99.8. This brought the index below the key 100-point threshold. Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted real sector confidence index decreased by 1.4 points to 101.1.
The decline in confidence was driven by assessments of the overall economic outlook, production volumes over the next three months, and order levels. In contrast, expectations regarding investment spending, employment, and export orders contributed positively to the index. Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted capacity utilization rate in the manufacturing sector rose by 0.2 percentage points to 74.3%, while the unadjusted rate increased by 0.3 percentage points to 74.5%.
