Trump says victory in Iran war is near
US President Donald Trump said the ongoing war with Iran would end very soon and claimed that the United States would win the conflict.
Speaking at the White House, Trump said he had prevented Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, describing this as important not only for the US but for the world. He also argued that gasoline prices would fall significantly once the war ends.
Trump’s remarks came as diplomatic contacts between Washington and Tehran resumed. Talks mediated by Qatar and Pakistan are reportedly considering options including easing US sanctions and releasing frozen Iranian assets in exchange for concrete steps by Iran regarding its nuclear program. Disagreements remain between the two sides, particularly over the timing of these measures.
