Türkiye's inflation exceeds expectations

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on November 3, 2026, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.58% in October, exceeding market expectations of 2.4%.

Monthly inflation accelerated from the previous month's 1.84%, indicating renewed momentum in consumer price increases.

Annual inflation also increased from 29.73% to 29.77%, surpassing the market forecast of 29.5%. With both monthly and annual inflation coming in above expectations, the latest figures highlight persistent price pressures in the Turkish economy. The rise in inflation could have significant implications for upcoming monetary policy decisions by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT).
