Ukraine central bank premises searched

Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) announced on October 21 that investigators had searched the premises of the National Bank of Ukraine and the home of one central bank employee.

NABU said no individuals had been detained or formally notified of suspicion. The central bank confirmed the searches and stated that its operations were continuing normally.

The investigation raises questions about institutional oversight and governance within Ukraine's financial system during wartime. Continued central bank operations indicate that the searches have not directly disrupted monetary or financial activities. However, authorities have not disclosed the investigation's full scope or potential legal consequences.

Any effect on investor confidence will depend on further verified developments.
