Wall Street expects 30% surge in corporate earnings

As the third-quarter earnings season begins in the United States, Wall Street is anticipating strong corporate profit growth.

According to analysts' estimates, aggregate earnings for companies in the S&P 500 index are expected to rise by 30.6% compared with the same period last year.

Financial results from major US banks, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo, will be closely watched throughout the earnings season. Net interest income, investment banking activity, and loan performance are expected to provide important signals about the outlook for the financial sector.

Artificial intelligence investments and strong performance among technology companies are also supporting third-quarter earnings expectations. The upcoming financial results are expected to play a crucial role in determining whether the rally in US stock markets can be sustained.
