AI investor interest shifts toward software
In U.S. markets, interest in artificial intelligence investments is shifting from chip and hardware manufacturers to cybersecurity and enterprise software companies.
CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks gained more than 10% during the week, while a semiconductor ETF declined 3%.
The shift reflects growing scrutiny of returns on large-scale data-center investments. Investors are increasingly distinguishing companies that spend heavily on AI infrastructure from those positioned to generate direct revenue from AI adoption.
